What's New for 2027

The headline change for 2027 Traverse is the addition of two new exterior colors: Twilight Blue (available on the RS) and Trillium Green Metallic (available on LT and RS). A new Oregon seat color also arrives on the Z71, giving the off-road trim a distinct natural-tan interior personality.

 

Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology becomes standard on the RS trim for 2027, paired with a 3-year OnStar Super Cruise plan. That is a notable step up from the 2026 model, where Super Cruise was an optional add-on across all trims.

 

Power-folding second- and third-row seating is now standard on the RS, adding one-touch convenience that previously required a higher-tier package. The RS also gains a flat-bottom steering wheel, ventilated front seats, second-row bucket seats, and a 6-way power front passenger seat as standard equipment.

 

The Z71 adds its new Oregon (Natural Tan) Evotex seat trim as a factory pairing with its Jet Black interior, reinforcing its trail-ready identity with a cabin that matches the rugged exterior.

LT


LT is the entry point. Every LT ships with the 17.7-inch touchscreen, 11-inch Driver Information Center, Google Built-In, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, AutoSense Power Liftgate, and the standard Trailering Package. Seven-passenger seating is standard; an 8-passenger configuration is available. Available Midnight and Sport Editions add blackout styling on LT.

Z71 is AWD-only, targeting buyers who take the Traverse off the pavement. It adds Hill Descent Control, Terrain Mode, an Advanced Twin-Clutch AWD system, frequency-based suspension dampers, 18-inch all-terrain tires, a skid plate, and red tow hooks over the LT. Ground clearance rises to 7.76 inches compared to 6.77 inches on LT. The new Oregon seat color is exclusive to Z71. A Z71 Adventure Package is available for buyers who want additional off-road accessories.

RS


RS is the sport-style trim. It now includes Super Cruise as standard, plus a flat-bottom wrapped steering wheel, Evotex Ultra seating in Jet Black with Torch Red accents, ventilated front seats, 22-inch High Gloss Black painted aluminum wheels, LED tail lamps, a High Gloss Black sporty grille, power-folding second- and third-row seating, Rainsense automatic wipers, memory settings, a 6-way power front passenger seat, Bose premium audio, active noise cancellation, HD Surround Vision, and interior ambient lighting.
